2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the Science in the Public Service (SIPS) Campaign, with the theme “20 Years of Science in the Public Service: Improving Livelihood through Science and Innovation”. To celebrate the achievements of the past two decades, a Science and Technology Fair will be held at the Special Exhibition Hall of the Hong Kong Science Museum from 25 to 27 September 2026, open for free admission to the public. Jointly organized by 18 government bureaux and departments together with collaborating organisations, the fair will showcase the latest applications of science and technology in daily public services through a wide variety of exhibits, science exploration and games.

The SIPS website has also been revamped with a new design. Members of the public are welcome to browse the introductions to various public activities from August to December this year, including the Science and Technology Fair, forum and lecture series, science exploration activities, site visits, workshops, etc.

Participants will receive a stamp after attending any one of the lectures, forums or science exploration activities under the SIPS Campaign. Upon collection of five stamps, they can redeem a souvenir on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
